
A woman has died following a collision on the A46 at Collingham, on the Lincoln-bound carriageway.
The incident happened at around 12.40pm on January 14 at Potter Hill Road, where it meets the A46, on the Lincoln-bound lanes.
Two cars were involved in the collision.
Despite the efforts of emergency service workers, the driver of one vehicle, a woman, died at the scene.
Her name has yet to be disclosed.
The driver of the other vehicle was not thought to be seriously injured but was taken to Lincoln County Hospital as a precaution.
The A46 to Lincoln remains closed while police carry out an investigation, but the carriageway from Lincoln towards Newark is open.
Anyone who witnessed the collision or saw the vehicles driving prior to the crash is asked to call police on the 101 number.
