
The death of a woman whose body was found in the River Witham in Lincoln is not being treated as suspicious by police.
An investigation was launched after a report at around 11am on Saturday, December 27 of a body in the water close to the Newark Road Bridge and the Plough public house.

The Lincolnshire Police Underwater Search team recovered the body of the 69-year-old local woman.
Officers confirmed that as her death is not being treated as suspicious the name of the woman will not be released.
A file is being prepared for the coroner and an inquest will be held in due course.
