
A woman in her 70s was killed in a collision on the A1 at Marston this weekend. Police, who are appealing for information, say she was from the village of Bassingham near Lincoln.
The collision, which took place shortly after 1pm on Saturday, March 21, involved a white Audi A1 and a DAF lorry.
The driver of the Audi, a 59-year-old woman from North Hykeham, remains in a critical condition at the Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham.
The Bassingham woman, who was her front seat passenger, sadly died at the scene.
Police are asking anyone who witnessed the collision to call 101, quoting incident number 206 of March 21, or call the Collision Witness Hotline on 01522 558855.
