Amber Peat (13) went missing on May 30

Officers searching for a missing 13-year-old girl from Nottinghamshire have widened their appeal to neighbouring counties, including Lincolnshire.

Amber Peat went missing from her home in Bosworth Street in Mansfield at around 5.30pm on Saturday, May 30.

Officers are carrying out searches in the area and believe there is a good chance she is still in the Mansfield area.

However, they have also not ruled out the possibility that Amber may be outside of the county.

Amber is described as white, with long dark brown hair. She is around 4 ft tall and of a petite build with brown eyes and a tiny scar above her lip.

She was last seen wearing a black Puma zip up top, purple trainers and blue jeans.

Her mother and stepfather broke down in tears as they spoke at a police conference on June 2, saying her disappearance was out of character.

Kelly and Danny Peat said she walked out after refusing to clean a cool box used to store food on a recent holiday.

Ms Peat said: “If you’re watching this or anybody knows where she is, just send her home please.”

Mr Peat added: “Just come home. We just want you home.”

Missing Persons Coordinator Kirsty Gittings said: “If you know where Amber is or have any information please call us on 101, quoting incident 56 of May 31.

“Amber, if you are reading this appeal please get in touch with us or your parents. They are very worried about you.”

If you have any information on Amber’s whereabouts please call Nottinghamshire Police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
