
Some 13 people have been changed with numerous offences as part of an investigation into modern slavery in Lincolnshire.
Of those charged, five people are from Lincoln. The remaining people are from Drinsey Nook, just over five miles out of Lincoln.
The investigation, dubbed Operation Pottery, has previously seen a number of raids in the area.
The 13 people charged are:
John Rooney, 29, of Sheffield Road, Drinsey Nook, charged with:
- Conspire to hold another person in slavery / servitude
- Conspire to require another person to perform forced / compulsory labour
- Theft of bricks to the value of £14,734.50
- Cheat the public revenue
- Fraud by false representation in relation to the dishonest transfer of a property in Hyde
- Fraud by false representation in relation to the dishonest transfer of a property in Wakefield
- Theft of the freehold title to an address in Middlesex
- Theft of the freehold title to an address in Middlesex
- Theft of a cheque
- Possession of criminal property x 3
Patrick Rooney, 29, of Sheffield Road, Drinsey Nook, charged with:
- Conspire to hold another person in slavery / servitude
- Conspire to require another person to perform forced labour / compulsory
- Theft of bricks to the value of £14,734.50
- Theft of a camping pod to the value of £5,495
- Cheat the public revenue
- Fraud by false representation in relation to the dishonest transfer of a property in Hyde
- Possession of criminal property x 2
Martin Rooney, 22, of Sheffield Road, Drinsey Nook, charged with:
- Conspire to hold another person in slavery / servitude
- Conspire to require another person to perform forced / compulsory labour
- Possession of a class A drug (cocaine)
- Possession of a class B drug (cannabis)
- Possession of criminal property x 2
Bridget Rooney, 54, of Sheffield Road in Drinsey Nook, charged with:
- Conspire to hold another person in slavery / servitude
- Conspire to require another person to perform forced / compulsory labour
Nora Rooney, 29, of Sheffield Road, Drinsey Nook, charged with:
- Cheat the public revenue
- Possession of criminal property x 2
Eileen Rooney, 30, of Sheffield Road, Drinsey Nook, charged with:
- Cheat the public revenue
- Use a false instrument with intent it be accepted as genuine
John Rooney, 51, of Chantry Craft, Kinsley, West Yorkshire, charged with:
- Conspire to hold another person in slavery / servitude
- Conspire to require another to perform forced / compulsory labour
Peter Doran, 31, of Washingborough Road, Lincoln, charged with:
- Conspire to hold another person in slavery / servitude
- Conspire to require another to perform forced / compulsory labour
Martin Rooney, 53, of Sheffield Road, Drinsey Nook, charged with:
- Conspire to hold another person in slavery / servitude
- Conspire to require another to perform forced / compulsory labour
Gerry Rooney, 40, of Washingborough Road, Lincoln charged with:
- Conspire to hold another person in slavery / servitude
- Conspire to require another to perform forced / compulsory labour
- Fraud by false representation
Larry Rooney, 48, of Washingborough Road, Lincoln, charged with:
- Conspire to hold another person in slavery / servitude
- Conspire to require another to perform forced / compulsory labour

Danny Rooney, 49, of Washingborough Road, Lincoln charged with:
- Fraud by false representation in relation to dishonest transfer of the house
- Possession of criminal property
All 13 people have been released on police bail to appear before Lincoln District Magistrates Court on October 28.
